Middle School Expedition 2025:
Wadjemup (Rottnest Island), May 5 – 9.
With the goal of building community cohesion, our Middle School students and their advisory staff set sail for Wadjemup (Rottnest). Each advisory group spent three days together, staying at Kingston Barracks, and they could not have wished for better weather.
Expedition offers numerous opportunities for growth, as participants learn to live, work, and play outside their normal comfort zones. The physical and psychological challenges that Expedition presents help students discover more about themselves. They make the trip in the company of their classmates and Advisors. As a consequence, this collaborative ‘away-from-home community’ helps us all to appreciate our interdependence. These special opportunities for personal growth, along with the strengthening of bonds, are important. The positive flow-on effects upon return to school, and likely also at home, are often quite profound.
Stay tuned for stories from the Middle School students. Expedition never fails to ‘crack a mention’ in each student’s highlights for the semester.
