Children’s House has had fun learning about Chinese New Year. They celebrated the year of the Tiger by making some interesting craft like cherry blossom trees, fans, lanterns and a dragon. Some children helped prep some vegetables for noodles. Others made some fried rice. The children grated carrots and cut some snow peas. We spoke about what ingredients we needed to make the noodles and fried rice. When the noodles were cooked the children challenged themselves to use chopsticks to eat their noodles. We learnt a dragon dance and sang a song all about Chinese New Year.
