Children’s House has had fun learning about Chinese New Year. The children made some interesting craft like cherry blossom trees, fans, lanterns and a rat using the Chinese tangram puzzle. Some children helped prepare vegetables for our noodles. The children grated carrots and cut snow peas. We spoke about what ingredients we needed to make the noodles. When the noodles were cooked we all went outside to have a picnic and some children challenged themselves to use chopsticks. We learnt a dragon dance and sang a song all about Chinese New Year.
