It has been a busy few weeks in Children’s House with new children starting in the different classes and beginning to settle. The children have had fun learning about Chinese New Year and have made some interesting pieces of art using the tangram to make a representation of an ox for the Year of the Ox. Some have made beautiful lanterns and cherry blossom craft. Others have cooked fried rice. The children enjoyed learning a “Lion Dance” outdoors.

In Science, with Helen the children have been experimenting with “mysterious mixtures”.  They have been finding out what materials dissolve in water and which materials don’t. This will help children observe the changes from the dissolved salts and how they will change into crystals.
