Wow, I cannot believe we are in week nine! It has been a wonderfully busy term with loads of learning, growing, and getting to know new friends.
Here is just a sample of the week from each area of the Children’s House classroom this term…
In Practical Life, Alex concentrates on threading large beads. Ollie is refining his cutting skills, cutting paper into ever-smaller pieces. In the Sensorial area, Brooks matched the tablets of Colour Box 1, and then extended this activity by sourcing objects from the environment to match the colour tablets.

In Mathematics, Blair works with a peer to complete the Bird’s Eye View. This activity provides an overhead view of the Golden Beads and the Large Number Cards together, demonstrating the combination of the ‘concrete’ Golden Beads with the ‘abstract’ Large Number Cards.
The Culture area covers Geography, History, and Science. Alexander is exploring the buoyancy or non-buoyancy of a variety of objects and Jacob sorts pictures into living or non-living categories.
