Welcome back to Term 3.
Our children are always delighted with the new materials available on the shelves at the beginning of each term. We turn over the variety of work only once a term, to give the child enough time to discover, work with and allow opportunity for repetition. Repetition is important as it provides the practice that children need to master new skills. At home turn over your children’s play and work items at a similar pace. Store away fifty per cent (or more) of items and watch their faces light up when “new” jobs reappear.
Joining our local community Toy Library is a cost-effective way to keep up with the ever-changing requirements around puzzles and gross motor equipment. Rockingham & Districts Toy Library is located in Rockingham Library on Dixon Rd. It opens Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and has an online catalogue. Go to the City of Rockingham website for full details.
We still have limited availability on most days in both Rockingham and Lakelands. Please call 9528 2118 to book a free trial. Parents, please feel free to bring along a friend for a free trial. We would love to introduce them to Montessori for the very young.
