What a busy and productive term we’ve had!

This term we had the Lower Primary camp, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre show, Maria Montessori’s Birthday and International Literacy Day.

On the 31st of August, we celebrated Maria Montessori’s birthday in our classroom and read a book about her life. Some of the students researched Maria Montessori’s life and her contribution to society. We also cooked pizza for the occasion.

On the 8th of September, we celebrated International Literacy day in our class. Children were encouraged to choose and read an appropriate book and then create their own costumes.  It was lovely to see many of our students get into the spirit of Literacy day, arriving at school in costume as their favourite book character to celebrate the enjoyment of reading books.
