It has been a wonderful start to the year so far at Lakelands with all of our returning students falling straight back into their usual routines, setting great examples for new families who have come to observe and joined in the past few weeks. After the long holiday, it has been lovely to notice the obvious physical growth in some of our students but also remarkable to see skills being mastered, language being developed and concentration increasing. They grow up so fast!
The beautiful, shady outdoor setting at Lakelands allows for comfortable outside work, be it art, water play, gross motor activities or sandpit creations. Our children are especially enjoying painting right under a shady native tree and amongst boulders that occasionally display works of art too. With a shaded sandpit and undercover deck, our outdoor classroom has not lost any appeal during the warm weather and remains as popular as ever with our families. With increasing numbers of families joining our group, the large outdoor space and bright indoor classroom ensure we are comfortable with lots of room to explore, observe, socialise and conduct productive work. We have enjoyed homegrown watermelon from one of our families these past two weeks and lots of seasonal fruit to share.
Our Monday and Friday sessions are calm with smaller numbers which makes them perfect days to come for an observation or a first-time session. Tuesday sessions are well-established with a lovely group of dedicated families. Our students have a wide variety of ages and personalities to observe or interact with. All three days still have availability and we would welcome anyone who would like to visit.
Kind regards,
Carla & Orla
