Over the past few weeks, there’s been a happy buzz in our classroom!.
The children have been busy with their crafts for Christmas. They have been painting, drawing, beading, and writing their messages on cards. The children have enjoyed learning a new song and the actions to go with it in preparation for Carols on the Green. During the week they have baked shortbread cookies to take home together with all their Christmas crafts on the last day of school.
We have celebrated many festivals during the year and this time there has been lots of learning about the celebrations of Christmas around the world and in Australia. Celebrating cultural events allows children to feel part of the global community and therefore develop their sense of belonging. The children have been forming deeper connections and understandings about what this season means.
Wishing all families a Merry Christmas, Happy holidays, and a Happy New Year.
