On Friday 26th we held our first Science week activity afternoon in the new PK Science lab and kitchen. The middle school students, led by Olive our event coordinator and Deacon our photographer, hosted our Primary School students for an afternoon of treasure-hunting and kaleidoscope-building using Bunsen burners in the lab and making stain-glass cookies in the new kitchen.

It was a fun, hands-on and engaging, commencing with afternoon tea of yummy scones made by our middle school students, supported by Jade and a group of hospitality helpers. Our afternoon ended with a spectacular, messy and entertaining Science show, culminating in a fountain of elephant toothpaste that almost reached up to the second-story roof!

Our Primary School students all got to try ice-cream made with dry ice and left with goody bags filled with rainbows in a jar, their kaleidoscope and cookies – which were carefully baked and wrapped by Amber and Amelie.

A huge thank you to all the Middle school students who put in extra time and effort to participate in such a fun but messy event, Rebecca and Andrew for their input and support, Vanessa, Tony and all the parent helpers who helped clean up afterwards.
